As you may know, this month is National Physical Therapy Month. The theme for this year's celebration is "Fit After 50," and physical therapists all over the country are giving advice to people on how to get fit and stay fit. So many people over the age of 50 are reamining active longer too, so injury prevention advice is also something that P.T.'s are giving to patients.
For today, get started on an exercise program by walking up the stairs to your office. If you work in a high rise and can't make it up 30 flights, just get off the elevator two or three floors below your destination floor. Then you can walk up the few extra flights to your office. If you work on the ground floor, park your car across the parking lot to make the walk to your workplace a little bit longer. You'll feel great, get a free workout in, and your body will thank you.
