Snow Day in Physical Therapy

By December 27, 2012

Follow me on:

I live in the northeast of the US, and today the snow is falling. There appears to be at least 8 to 12 inches of the fluffy white stuff already on the ground, and the forecast calls for continued snow throughout the day.

Needless to say, many of my patients cancelled this morning. A few patients did make it to therapy today, braving the slick roads and falling snow to get treatment for neck pain or knee pain.

If you are currently engaged in a physical therapy program and inclement weather makes travel to and from the PT clinic unsafe, it is probably best to call your therapist and reschedule the appointment. He or she most likely would want you to remain safe than have you out on the roads driving through unplowed snow to get to your therapy appointment.
