Tennis Elbow

Definition: Tennis elbow is an overuse or repetitive stress injury of the extensor tendons in the forearm. This results in muscle injury and tendon inflammation/degeneration. When this occurs a painful sensation is experienced on the outside portion of the elbow, the location where the extensor tendons insert.
Pronunciation: lateral e-pi-con-dy-li-tis
Also Known As: Lateral Epicondylitis
