About the ABPTS:

The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) is the national governing body that oversees physical therapy specialist certification. The board is made up of eight board certified physical therapists and one non physical therapist who represents the public.

The ABPTS website contains all of the necessary information on exam and applications, specialist certification and recertification as well as a directory for the public to locate a certified physical therapy specialist in their area.
