Treatment of Runner's Knee

Initially rest is the best treatment of runner's knee. As always the RICE principle should be applied. After the inflammation decreases, gentle stretching to all tight muscles around the knee joint should be incorporated daily. Treatment of runner's knee should also incorporate strengthening of the muscles that stabilize the knee joint.
