Introduction

The calf muscle is the large muscle located on the back of the leg under the knee region. This muscle acts to plantar flex, or point the toes. The calf muscle helps us take each step forward by allowing us to "push" off the ground.
Toe raises are an excellent way to strenthen this muscle group.
